Public methodology

Every status means something specific.

The campaign distinguishes a submitted name from an accepted personal signature, a district boundary from a current member roster, and a confirmed Send action from provider acceptance or delivery.

Signer count

Acceptance and verification are distinct.

Ordinary adult signatures are accepted immediately after assent and duplicate/abuse checks. Email confirmation is not required; a receipt provides a private removal link. Acceptance does not verify identity or mailbox ownership. Official-role and organization-authority claims require independent review. A person counts once per statement version across roles; organizations are separate. Public display always requires consent.

Public display

Consent and release control display.

The public list includes eligible, accepted signatures with display consent after an explicit administrator release. There is no minimum number of signers. Verified current trustees who consent may receive a public Signed badge before that general release. An absent name does not reveal whether someone has signed.

Suppression

Signers stop being targets.

Signed trustees are not solicitation targets. An approved shared board mailbox may incidentally reach signed members when unsigned trustees remain; the reviewed message names those unsigned targets and discloses shared routing and any approved superintendent recipient. No solicitation is queued for an all-signed board. Private signature status is not disclosed.

District resolution

Geography identifies the area.

Address and boundary services determine district and area identifiers, not current officeholder names.

Current representation

Rosters are separately verified.

Member names and professional contact channels are verified separately from geography. Official sources are preferred; matching Quorum records are an authoritative fallback. Approved district routing retains named trustee attribution and staff-handling disclosures. Unresolved boards remain unavailable; inferred addresses are not verified contacts.

Action receipts

Click, acceptance, and delivery differ.

Send confirmed, provider accepted, delivered, bounced, complained, and failed remain separate events.

Accessibility

The experience must work for everyone.

The production site targets WCAG 2.1 AA, full keyboard operation, visible focus, associated errors, status announcements, reduced motion, and readable content at 200% zoom.
